Extended Radio Silence - ending in Q3 2012

To anyone who's still following any of my public works - FastFormat, Pantheios, STLSoft, Breaking Up The Monolith, Quality Matters, VOLE, etc. - and wondering whether these activities are permanently moribund, I want to let you know that I'll soon be free of a very intense and overwhelmingly consuming commercial engagement over the last 2.5 years, and the second half of this year should see much activity in open-source, commercial, and writing activities.

Cheers

Matt

  1. I have a three-year-old project that uses Pantheios. It works great! Thank you.

With Apple deprecating GCC, I've been working on porting the project to Clang. Sadly, my attempts to incorporate Pantheios are thwarted by STLSoft complaining "Standard library not recognised".

I've tried the suggested route of defining _STLSOFT_FORCE_ANY_COMPILER, and after wrestling with that for a while, I'm no further along.

Do you know whether anyone has succeeded in getting Pantheios building on OS X with Clang?

  2. I'm trying to do something similar by adding support to IAR compiler for embedded applications - have you had any progress?

  3. Tim, I've just released Pantheios 1.0.1 (beta 215), and STLSoft 1.9.121 on which it depends, which should solve your problem. (Very late response, I know, but good service should be seen from here on in, including GitHub access for various Synesis Software open-source projects)

Jim, I'm still keen to assist with your efforts as expressed in Feb.

    Matt
